Alfond Inn

Alfond Inn, Rollins, Florida

With just 20 miles between Walt Disney World and the Alfond Inn, it’s no wonder the boutique hotel gives off an air of magic and wonder. Constructed in 2013 for Rollins College and designed by Baker Barrios Architects, the Alfond Inn captures the feeling of a Mediterranean palace, complete with white stucco, curved corners, arched ceilings, and a slew of natural lighting.

The Alfond Inn’s defining feature is what’s known as the hotel’s “jeweled center” – a luxurious domed skylight that spans 39 feet across the main lounge. To construct the striking copula, Lintec installed large glass panels framed with aluminum coated in Valspar Fluropon Classic II in Bronze. Known for its durability and effervescent pigment, Fluropon also provides superior resistance to ultraviolet rays, which enables the coating to provide a continuous lasting impression for years. The Alfond Inn now stands as one of the premier luxury hotels in the area and donates a portion of its funds to support the Alfond Scholars fund at Rollins College.
